On Connecticut River Reservoir

Connecticut River Reservoir is the impoundment of the Connecticut River behind Wilder Dam, which spans the river between Hartford, Vermont, and Lebanon, New Hampshire. Great River Hydro operates the dam as the Wilder Hydroelectric Project (FERC License No. P-1892). The company describes the reservoir as 3,100 acres and 45 miles long at an elevation of 385.0 feet, with 5 feet of usable storage that is managed seasonally. The pool reaches upstream to Newbury and Haverhill and drains a 3,375-square-mile watershed in New Hampshire and Vermont. The reach mapped here runs north from the dam past Hartford, Norwich and Thetford. The Ledyard Bridge crosses it between Norwich and Hanover. More about Connecticut River Reservoir.
