On Crescent Lake

Crescent Lake is a 15,960-acre freshwater lake in Putnam and Flagler counties in northeast Florida. It is long and narrow, about 13 miles long and 2 miles wide, and its shape gives the lake its name. It was once called Dunn's Lake. The lake is a tributary of the St. Johns River and joins it at the north end through Dunns Creek. Crescent City is on its west shore. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) lists the lake as popular with anglers fishing for largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish and black crappie. More about Crescent Lake.
